This year’s Leadership Brazos class made a tour of Downtown Bryan yesterday, including a stop here at SEAD Gallery. Our guests had the opportunity to take a tour of our current art exhibit and explore the exhibit with our ArtInteractive iPad app developed by Advent GX. Chris Dyer, from the Arts Council of Brazos Valley, and exhibiting artist Anguspaul were both present for the tour. Dyer and gallery director, Cassidy Barton, spoke a bit about our space and then Anguspaul took over and gave a full tour of his exhibit complete with discussions about he inspiration behind his works. Visitors were very enthusiastic about the vibrant art work as well as the ArtInteractive app.
Leadership Brazos is a program of the Bryan-College Station Chamber of Commerce. The class, led by Eva Read-Warden, is made up of community members and business owners within the Brazos Valley that have the desire to learn more about our area including its rich history and heritage as well area arts and culture. This week’s class was focused on the Arts and Communication of Downtown Bryan. They visited many of the local businesses in Downtown, including SEAD Gallery.
