The opening reception for 20×20, hosted by the Brazos Valley Art League (BVAL), drew a great crowd on First Friday! The exhibition, which also serves as a fundraiser for BVAL, showcases the variety of talent present within the membership and provides a wonderful opportunity for the local community to see, at a glance, the vibrancy and diversity of art being produced in our own back yard. Parameters of the show dictated that all work be confined to a 20×20 canvas, yet the resulting pieces are far from uniform. Mixed media, collage and even pastels worked their way onto the walls in delightful and unexpected ways. Take time to stop by the back room at SEAD Gallery and see 20×20, Tuesday-Saturday from 11am-6pm or by appointment. 20×20 is on exhibit through January 3rd.
