We are excited to welcome our newest exhibit, “Impressions”, by Austin based artist Anna Ganina to the SEAD Gallery and Bookshop! Join us for the Opening Reception on May 17th from 6:30 – 8 PM.
Anna Ganina draws inspiration from her broad travels and her abundant life experiences as both a visitor and resident of many countries around the world. In her art, she goes beyond the obvious to uncover the symbolism within the human aspect of daily life. As a viewer of Anna’s images, one is transported to a world of fictional reality that exists in the recesses of the artist’s mind. Anna experiments with texture by blending marble powder with her paints as a way to further explore her subject matter.
We will be hosting a raffle at the opening to benefit Still Creek Ranch. Still Creek’s mission is to rescue boys and girls from crisis environments and to restore their lives by placing them in a family-style home environment, and through their accredited boarding school, Bible-based counseling, TCAL athletics, fine arts, and our equestrian and agricultural programs. They aim to create an environment where the kids are empowered by their story, yet without allowing them to be defined by their past wounds. The winner of the raffle will receive an Anna Ganina original painting.
